(2 November) Four Banks plan to discuss loan for Government′s THB 350 billion Water Management project.

The Water Management Project was proposed to be in accordance with the THB 2 trillion infrastructure development, which are planned to be finished within 7 years.

Mr. Worawit Chailimpamontri, director of the Government Saving Bank (GSB), said that the bank plans to negotiate about the loan with three other banks, namely, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, and Krung Thai Bank.

So far, THB 200 billion was provided by the four banks, however, the plan from the Ministry of Finance is yet unclear.

The GSB director said that they may give out the loan periodically as they do not wish to take the risk for quite a long term project.

Reportedly, the Ministry of Finance previously agreed to borrow THB 193 billion from the GSB, THB 178 billion from Bangkok Bang, THB 9 billion from Kasikorn Bank and another THB 40 million from Krung Thai Bank.
